Musical Theatre Arts Camp

On stage and behind the scenes

Our two-week Musical Theatre Arts Camp offers students a dynamic and engaging introduction to the world of musical theatre. Campers will explore the core disciplines of the stage—singing, dancing, acting, and technical production—through hands-on learning and guided activities.

Throughout the session, students will:

  • Learn vocal techniques, music theory, timing, and harmony

  • Practice choreography and stage movement

  • Build acting skills through games, improvisation, and storytelling

  • Discover behind-the-scenes elements like costumes, lighting, sound, props, and scenic design

Each session culminates in a musical theatre showcase performed in the Studio Theatre for family and friends.

Internship Program

From Actor to Director: A Behind-the-Scenes Experience

TTAC proudly offers a unique Internship Program designed to inspire the next generation of theatre professionals. This program is ideal for college-aged students and young adults eager to deepen their understanding of the performing arts by stepping off the stage and into leadership roles.

Interns gain hands-on experience in:

  • Directing and stage management

  • Production coordination

  • Script analysis and rehearsal planning

  • Supporting technical areas such as lighting, sound, and set design

Each intern is mentored by experienced theatre educators and staff as they assist with live productions, rehearsals, and youth theatre programs. Many of our past interns began as performers and took this opportunity to explore directing and behind-the-scenes roles for the first time.

The program fosters creativity, confidence, and leadership while helping young artists build the skills and professional experience needed for a career in theatre or education.

Who Should Apply
College students, recent high school graduates, and young adults with a passion for theatre, education, or the arts.

Community Events

Bringing Theatre into the Heart of the Community

At Tracy Theater Arts Collaborative, we believe that theatre belongs to everyone—and we’re proud to bring the performing arts beyond the stage and into the community through engaging local events. From elegant galas to intimate afternoons, our performances celebrate connection, creativity, and collaboration.

Winter Gala Performance – January 2025

In January, our talented cast members were honored to perform at a Tracy community gala, where they presented two high-energy musical numbers from Newsies. The performance offered a powerful glimpse into the talent nurtured through our programs and underscored the value of youth arts education. It was an unforgettable evening filled with music, movement, and community pride.

Tea at the Museum – April 2025

In April, Tracy Theater Arts Collaborative partnered with the Tracy Historical Museum for "Tea at the Museum"—an afternoon celebrating Tracy’s cultural and artistic legacy. Guests enjoyed tea service, conversation, and live entertainment in a relaxed, historical setting. This event was a beautiful example of how the arts can foster meaningful connections between generations and community institutions.
